Unzicker Bros Pottery - Nationally known artisans on exhibit this month are the Unzicker Brothers of Thorntown, IN. Tom and Jeff Unzicker of Unzicker Bros Pottery work together to produce a wide range of wheel thrown pottery. They have coffee mugs to large scale floor jars. The majority of the work is fired in their 900 cubic ft. wood burning kiln resulting in a unique natural ash glaze. Their influence is diverse and they draw their inspiration for their pieces from traditions of various cultures throughout the world.
There work is unique and fired in their 30 ft. long cross draft tunnel kiln on their property. They get their wood for their kiln from nearby saw mills in Indiana.
